VFW Post 883 meets on the third Wednesday of each month. Our meeting for this month will be on 18 April 2007 at 1900 hours.

At the meeting this month we MUST have a quorum as we MUST elect post officers for the upcoming year and we MUST have someone to accept the nomination and election as Post Commander and a report of this election must be made to VFW National Headquarters or the post will be suspended and defaulted if not done.

Last month we did not have a quorum. We cannot conduct a meeting without five (5) members present to form a quorum. Our meetings last less than an hour and Post Officers are expected to attend which will ensure a quorum.

Dennis Robertson has been the Post Commander for 6 years and has stated that he will not accept the office any longer and without a Post Commander no report of elections can be made. The post cannot continue without a Commander.

This will be the last monthly bulletin that I will prepare and mail to the membership. I see no reason to put the time, effort and expense of a monthly bulletin with the present membership participation in the Post's activities.

The first quarter of 2007 ended 30 April and the Trustee's Quarterly Audit must be completed at the upcoming meeting.
